We currently offer the following membership levels.

Student membership of the IST is open to current students.

Full membership with the IST is open to anyone with an interest in toxicology, and who supports the aims of the IST to promote and advance the science of toxicology.​

Corporate membership is open to anyone currently working in  industry with an interest in Toxicology.

  • ​​Once the application has been completed the next step is to make payment of the appropriate fee, as above. Applications will not be fully processed until the fee has been received.

  • The IST is currently only accepting payment via bank transfer. Please use your name as the reference when making payment, this will make payment tracking easier.

Membership Benefits

​​​​​​Membership to the Irish Society of Toxicology provides a number of benefits

​

  • Students and Researchers in academic institutions can avail of grant awards under the IST Travel Grant Fund & Scholarship programme.

​

  • The establishment of close links between academia, regulators and industry at a national level.

​

  • Establish contacts with fellow toxicologists from Europe and beyond through membership of the European Societies of Toxicology (EUROTOX) and the International Union of Toxicology (IUTOX).

  • The Society offers reduced rates for IST activities, and for EUROTOX and IUTOX conferences.

​​

  • A newsletter to keep abreast of IST and other toxicological news in Ireland.

​

  • Free Advertisement and promotion of student/corporate events on the IST website.​​​​​​

 

Disclaimer in relation to the membership dues

​

Please note that the annual fee covers the 12 months from 1st January until 31st December. Members are welcome to join at any stage during the year, however, subscriptions will not be pro-rated for those joining later in the year.  All new members will be required to renew on the 1st January the following year.

​

Membership fees are discussed and ratified each year at the AGM and the membership are subsequently notified. Any increases take effect upon renewal.
